We want you to know exactly what you’re buying. This guide explains the condition terms we use across clothing, vintage goods, collectibles, electronics, toys, media, home décor and more.
Honest condition. Clear photos. No surprises.
Because much of our inventory is pre-owned or vintage, signs of age and previous use can be part of an item’s story. We inspect items carefully, photograph important details, and describe condition as accurately as possible so you can make an informed purchase.
Heads up: Always review the full listing description and all photos before purchasing. Photos are considered an important part of the condition description.
Condition levels we use
Each product listing includes one of the following overall condition descriptions, plus any specific notes and photos.
Like New
An item that appears unused or exceptionally well preserved, with little to no visible wear. Original packaging or tags may not be present unless specifically stated.
Excellent Pre-Owned
A previously owned item showing very light signs of use with no significant condition issues noted.
Good Pre-Owned
A solid, usable item with normal signs of previous ownership such as light wear, small marks, fading, or other minor imperfections. Any notable flaws will be described and photographed.
Fair / Acceptable
Shows noticeable wear, age, cosmetic flaws, repairs, missing non-essential components, or other imperfections while remaining suitable for use, display, restoration, parts, or collection as described in the listing.
Vintage Condition
Vintage items may naturally show age-related wear, patina, fading, crazing, scratches, finish wear, oxidation, small imperfections, or other characteristics associated with age and previous use. Specific condition details will be included in the individual listing.
Clothing & Formalwear
What we typically review and note when applicable:
- Fabric wear
- Stains or discoloration
- Pilling
- Loose threads
- Missing or replaced buttons
- Zippers and closures
- Alterations
- Hem condition
- Lining condition
- Odor when relevant
- Size and measurements
Fit tip: Pre-owned sizing can vary by brand, era, alterations, and previous laundering. Please use the measurements provided rather than relying only on the size tag. Fit is not guaranteed.
Footwear & Accessories
Highlights we may call out in listings:
- Sole and heel wear
- Interior wear
- Scuffs and scratches
- Hardware (buckles, snaps, clasps)
- Zippers and closures
- Strap and handle condition
- Insoles, laces, or inserts (if applicable)
- Any replaced or missing non-essential components
Collectibles & Trading Cards
For ungraded items, we share observational notes and photos so you can evaluate condition.
- Surface, edges, and corners
- Centering and print quality (when visible)
- Creases, dents, nicks, whitening, or scratches
- Foil finish, gloss, or refractor surface traits
- Binder/pack storage impressions or handling marks
- Packaging condition for sealed products (if applicable)
Any third-party certifications or slabs will be shown in photos and referenced in the listing when present.
Electronics, Games & Toys
What we may evaluate and disclose:
- Power-on and basic function checks when noted in the listing
- Screen, lens, or plastic clarity and scratches
- Battery compartments, corrosion, and terminals
- Controllers, remotes, and included accessories if shown or stated
- Cables, ports, and connectors
- Packaging for sealed items; open-box completeness when applicable
Accessories, batteries, and power supplies are included only if pictured or stated in the listing.
Media: Vinyl, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray & Games
Condition considerations vary by format:
- Disc or vinyl surface condition; visible scratches or marks
- Sleeves, cases, inserts, manuals, and artwork
- Play-testing or function testing when specifically noted
- Library or retailer stickers and residue
- Sealed items: wrap and corner wear; hype stickers
Home Décor, Furniture & Housewares
Common condition notes we may include:
- Structural integrity and stability
- Finish wear, scuffs, scratches, or dings
- Patina, tarnish, crazing, or age-related character
